Ring Engraving Services Q&A

Engraving is a great way to personalize your engagement ring or wedding ring. Mark Michael Diamond Designs is proud to offer engraving options to our customers. The most common type of engraving is done on the inside of rings using an engraving machine. Engravings done on the inside of rings can be added at any time making it a wonderful surprise for a wedding day or anniversary.

Q. How many characters can fit on the inside of a ring?

A. The number of characters that can be engraved will depend on the finger size of the ring that is being engraved. Most rings can accommodate between 15 -30 characters (characters include letters, numbers and spaces. So for example “I Love You” is 8 letters, but actually 10 characters including the spaces).  Popular engraving messages include initials, anniversary dates, and loving sentiments but the message you choose is entirely up to you!  

Q. How much does ring engraving cost?

A. Mark Michael Diamond Designs charges a $35 engraving fee for up to 15 characters and $2 for each additional character.

Q. What kind of rings can be engraved?

A. At Mark Michael Diamond Designs we only engrave rings made of precious metals. These include sterling silver, 10k, 14k, 18k and platinum rings.
