3 Fun and Unique Proposal Ideas

Once you've found the perfect one-of-a-kind engagement ring, the next big decision is how you will present the ring to her. Mark Michael Diamond Designs is here to help you find that special and unique proposal that fits both of your personalities and lifestyles. Here are three ideas produced by the Mark Michael staff for fun, easy, and romantic proposals.

1.       Present her with a unique monogram necklace (sold here) with her first and middle initial and your last name initial. When she says, “these aren’t my initials!” get down on one knee and tell her you hope they will be and pop the question. Plus, the monogram necklace will be perfect to wear on her wedding day and to treasure for many years to come.

2.       Surprise her one morning with a weekend getaway including packed bags and a plane ticket. Fly to a destination you’ve always dreamed of (staff picks: Napa Valley, New Orleans, New York City, Chicago or drive up North and rent a cabin in Duluth or Lutsen). Propose over an adventure-filled weekend. Pop the question on a Chicago rooftop, in a beautiful Napa Valley vineyard or in the middle of a serene Lutsen hike. It will be a weekend she never forgets.

3.       For a holiday proposal, work with a local tree farm to pre-select the perfect Christmas tree. Have the tree wrapped in lights and hang a single ornament with the ring inside. When the two of you find your way to the tree, have a worker standing by to light the tree. The stage is now set for you to open the ornament, get down on one knee, and present her with the ring. For a more private setting, you could also surprise her with the perfect tree at home, lit and hung with a single ornament.
