1. Round cut – is the most popular diamond shape due to its timeless appeal and symmetrical design. When cut correctly the round brilliant diamond shows more brilliance, fire and scintillation than any other diamond cut.

2. Princess cut – the second most popular diamond shape, the princess cut boasts well-defined corners and a square design. This classic shape is perfect for those who favor a simple style. It is most attractive on longer fingers.

3. Ovals are round cut diamond’s elongated sister. Perfectly symmetrical, oval  diamonds compliment smaller hands or shorter fingers, as ovals give a flattering illusion of length.

4. Marquise diamonds offer a very distinct and unique shape. Also called the “boat cut” marquise diamonds are elongated with pointed ends. Marquise, along with oval, diamonds is well situated on smaller hands or shorter fingers because they give the optical illusion of an elongating look.

5. Cushion cut – a mix of modern and vintage. The cushion cut diamond was created over a century ago and is cut with rounded corners and larger facets. Cushion cuts are ideal for anyone looking for something different and unique.

5. Pear diamonds are a mix of oval and marquise. Incredibly brilliant, pear diamonds are perfect for those looking for a nontraditional diamond shape.

6. Emerald cut – combines old-world charm with today’s modern glamour. Created during the art deco period, emerald cuts are fashioned with parallel, step-like facets.  This elongated shape looks best on long fingers.

7. Asscher diamonds combine a square shape with parallel, step-like facets creating an art deco feel and vintage look. Asschers are great for those looking for a combination of vintage and unique diamond shape.
